SOME PAINTBALL FAQ
"I've never done this before. What's the scoop on Action Games?"
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
DOES IT HURT?
Be dressed appropriately for the weather and as if you are going hiking. Long pants and sleeves, along with a pair of old boots or sneakers, are appropriate. Avoid Open toed shoes like flip-flops.
Hurt is a strong word. Getting hit by a paintball is comparable to taking a hit in any other contact sport. You're going to feel a paintball strike, but it won't be bad enough that you second-guess playing again.
CAN WE PLAY PRIVATELY?
WHO WILL WE BE PLAYING WITH?
Yes. If your group is made up of 20 or more players, you may play privately as a group. Occasionally, we will allow smaller groups to play privately. Private-play fees may apply. You must select "Private Play" at the time of booking.
All players in your group will play on the same battlefield together, but they may not all necessarily play on the same team. Teams are not locked for the day and players usually mix and match. Your friend may be your teammate for one game, then your opponent for the next.
HOW MANY GAMES DO I PLAY?
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
An average day consists of 10 games. The number of games you are able to play in one day depends on how quickly your group moves and the length of each game played.
This is not a day at the beach! If the weather isn’t perfect, it usually doesn’t interrupt your good time on the battle field. However, no one wants it to rain on their parade. If the weather just isn’t cooperating, we may cancel the game and give you the option of rescheduling your play date.
HOW MUCH WILL I SPEND?
How much you will spend depends on the type of player you are and how aggressive your group is. The average cost for the day is $75-$80 per person, including your playing fee.
WILL THERE BE FOOD?
YES! We provide BBQ hotdogs and burgers, FREE of charge! Players may bring their own snacks, beverages, paper plates and utensils, or even order a pizza from a local restaurant. We also offer bottled-water for $1
ARE THERE REFEREES?
YES! Our paintball refs, also called Field Marshalls, are highly trained and passionate about the game of Paintball. Most of them have extensive playing experience and they are happy to assist you throughout the day. During games, their primary job is to monitor play, ensure all players are playing safely, and keep track of time. For your safety, we insist that all players obey all commands given by the Field Marshalls. They're friendly, but they won't hesitate to eject you from the field of play if you violate our rules.
IS IT SAFE?
For over 35 years, player and staff safety has been the utmost priority. All players are briefed on game and equipment safety rules before playing any paintball. All rental gear is thoroughly washed, sanitized, and quarantined between uses, and there is plenty of room to social-distance both on and off the paintball fields.
WHO CAN PLAY?
Anybody over the age of 10 may play standard paintball at Action Games. Low impact is available for children as young as 8. Paintball is physically demanding. Expect to burn some calories! If you have a physical condition that affects your heart, lungs, breathing, or blood pressure, or if you are recovering from an injury, or if you are pregnant, we HIGHLY ADVISE that you consult your doctor before playing paintball.
CAN I BRING MY OWN GEAR?
Yes! You may bring and play with your own paintball gun, goggles, air tanks, hoppers, and pods. Ghillie Suits are ok! You must be able to tune your gun to 280 fps, 10 bps. All players must use the Paint that we provide, except on BYOP days. Ramping is ok, just do not exceed 10.0 bps. WARNING: Cheap, knock-off masks from Amazon require a close-range impact test at your discretion. You can use one of our Rental masks free of charge if your mask fails or if you refuse to consent to the test.
IS ALCOHOL OK?
Anyone over the age of 21 may consume alcohol on our site AFTER they are done playing paintball. We are very strict about this:
If you drink, You are
DONE PLAYING PAINTBALL
PERIOD!
